Kai is a proposed rebrand concept for Blick’s in house art materials brand. The rebrand is inspired by the Hawaiian word ‘Kai’ which means sea. I wanted to explore the idea of exploration in art, and draw a parallel between exploration of the ocean. The audience that Kai grabs the attention of, is the young, inspired creative. The 18-20 year old with a dream, and the passion to pursue their creative goals with no fear, and no reservation. They are headstrong, and hell-bent on making their dreams a reality through the art that they create.
